Great Day With Great Friends

Our friends, Joel, Heather & Abigail Daniels are in town and staying with us. They are going to be planting a new church in Boston this fall. We are so excited about what God is doing in their lives.

Today we decided to go off to Niagara Falls and it was a near perfect day for it. The Falls were as beautiful and awe inspiring as ever and it was wonderful to share it with great friends. Good friends are a treasure more precious than gold.

As much as I'd love to keep posting about my day, it's now time for one of my favorite times of day; evening reading with my baby girl (Addy).

Be blessed!
David

What's gonna work-Teamwork!

Mommy's Home!!!

Those are the words Addy will be shouting later today when Daphne gets home from the Ladies Conference she's been at since Thursday. So glad she got to go be with the girls for a few days and Addy and I have definitely enjoyed some "Daddy Time". We will, however, love to have Mommy back.

I have learned that I don't know where anything is in our house! I constantly fight the urge to text Daf and say "Where is...". Also, she is a great Mommy and I am an amazing Dad - as long as she's got my back. Bottom line is we're a team and we'll be glad to get our star player back today!

Hope all the Ladies of LEC had a great time at the Thirst Ladies Conference!

Zing! Zang! Zoom!

Well it's off to the circus for us tonight. This promises to be an exciting night for us. We took Addy to the circus in Birmingham, AL back in January when Addy was a few months over 2 years old and I really didn't think she would sit through it! Wow, was I wrong! She had a BLAST and was mesmorized the entire time!

She also has not stopped talking about it since then! She is so excited about the circus tonight which makes me excited as well. I'm sure I'll have a good story or two for you tomorrow, maybe even a few pics to go with them.

Have a great night!

A Day With An Angel!

Fridays are some of my favorite days. It's my day off and I usually get to spend it with my girls. Well, today Mommy is doing some "networking" so it's just me and Addy. These days are always educational for me to say the least. See, Addy just turned 3 on Sunday but is convinced that she's somewhere in the neighborhood of 20!! I do treasure these days though because I see how quickly the past three years have flown by and know that the rest will go in the blink of an eye! Addy is such a treasure to Daphne & me! Everyday brings another funny moment or 20! Last night she sang her version of one of our choir songs to the choir @ rehearsal and it was precious! I love the way she picks up on Mommy & Daddy's passion for worship.

Another quick story:

I was @ home last week preparing for a Men's Retreat that I was to lead worship for and had some worship music playing in the background. I was sitting @ our bar with my laptop when I heard Addy talking to her baby doll behind me. I turned slowly to see what she was doing. She had raised one of her baby's hands. She had her baby in one arm and the other raised telling her baby in a soft voice, "Worship, baby, just worship".

These are the moments you want to hold on to as long as you can. It gets you through the ones where all you can think is, "Are those markers washable?" :o

May your life be filled with great moments of child-like wonder and "Worship, Baby, just worship"!

Have a great day!

Wow! What a day!

What a great day god has planned for me! How do I know? His word tells me so in Jeremiah 29:11 that he has great plans for me including giving me a hope and future!

I want to challenge you to think BIG today! God's word says that He is able to do "exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or think!". So whatever you HAD planned for today....THINK BIGGER!

I am excited that I start my day with a breakfast meeting with some amazing guys and end it with one of the greatest choirs anywhere!  These people really love God and an opportunity to worship. I know that God has BIG plans for our rehearsal tonight. Now, if I can just get ME out of the way enough and let Him do what He wants to do!

Have a great day!

Another Addiction!

Wow, this is just what I need! I'm sure this will become my new addiction just as MySpace, Facebook and Twitter before it. Oh, well. I do like the opportunity to share my thoughs and heart with people. Truth is, I'm a worshipper and everything I do revolves around that. My job? Worship Pastor! I love to sing, speak, write or do anything that worships God! Jesus is my everything and I love an opportunity to tell people how He changes lives. I don't even want to think about where my life would be without Him.

I have two other loves of my life. They are my beautiful wife, Daphne and amazing daughter, Addyson who just turned 3! It doesn't take much to get me talking about how wonderful they are. they are also worshippers!

Quick Story:
I was riding down the road a few days ago with Addy in her car seat behind me. I had some praise music cranked up, as I usually do, when Addy started yelling at me so I turned it down a little to see what she wanted. I thought she wanted me to turn the music down or get a paci she'd dropped or something of that nature. However, my heart melted when she loudly demanded, "Daddy, turn it up! I'm worshipping!" :D

Have a great day!
David
